Acceptable use

You may not use StackSouk email, a contact form or a server to send bulk email people did not ask for. Marketing email you are allowed to send must follow the CAN-SPAM Act: a real from-address, a way to opt out, and no false headers. Bought address lists are not allowed. We may limit how many messages a mailbox can send, so one account cannot harm the mail servers for everyone else.

You may not use the service for anything illegal. That includes:

• Sexual content involving anyone under 18. We report that material to the authorities when we learn of it.
• Malware, phishing pages and scam shops.
• Content that infringes someone else’s copyright. We respond to proper takedown notices, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.
• Fraud, or use by a person in a place we are not allowed to serve.

Hosting and servers are for normal websites, email and apps. You may not use them to attack other people or to waste the machines. Banned uses include open proxies, password guessing, denial-of-service attacks and cryptocurrency mining. You may not resell the raw server as your own hosting brand unless we agreed to that in writing.

If the wholesale provider tells us a site is causing abuse, we can suspend that site before we finish talking to you. We then tell you what happened and what you need to change, unless the law says we cannot.

Do not point an agent at illegal work, spam, or pretending to be a real person. Do not tell customers the agent is a human. You are responsible for the instructions you give it and for checking high-stakes answers.

We can remove the content, suspend the mailbox, the site or the whole account, and cancel the service. Fees already paid may not be returned when we close an account for abuse. Serious cases can go to the upstream provider or to the police.
